अर्थ / Meaning

Line 1: मेरे हाथ-पैरों के कर्मों से, मेरी वाणी और शरीर से, या मेरे कर्मों से जो भी पाप हुए हैं,

Line 2: मेरे कानों और आँखों से उत्पन्न, या मेरे मन द्वारा किए गए पाप (अर्थात किसी भी प्रकार के कुविचार),

Line 3: कार्य करते समय (अर्थात परंपरा द्वारा निर्धारित कर्तव्य या किसी के जीवन के स्थान पर आवंटित कर्तव्य), साथ ही साथ अन्य सभी क्रियाएं जो स्पष्ट रूप से निर्धारित नहीं हैं (अर्थात स्व-निर्णय द्वारा किए गए कार्य, केवल आदत से, बिना अधिक सोचे समझे, अनजाने में आदि); कृपया उन सभी को क्षमा करें,

Line 4: हे श्री महादेव शंभो, आपकी जय हो, आपकी जय हो । मैं स्वयं को समर्पण करता हूं, आप करुणा के सागर हैं ।

अर्थ : इस श्लोक का भावार्थ यह है की मुझसे किसी भी अवस्था में या मेरे शरीर के किसी भी अंग द्वारा कुछ भी पाप किया गया है तो हे भवान शिव, मैं अपने को आपके चरणों में समर्पित करता हूँ । आप भोलेनाथ है, कृपया मुझे क्षमा करे ।
